It depends upon what status code the CO is reported as.
When an account remains delinquent, the current delinquency status is shown as either the current level of monthly delinqency or as having been charged-off.
The current status is simply a snapshot of exactly what it says... its current status only. It does not reflect any past status or history.
When a delinquent account is paid, the current status is no longer one of delinquency.
FCRA 623(a)(2) mandates that the current status be promplty updated to reflect as paid, or paid for less, as the case may be.
However, the CRAs maintain a separate code for retaining the prior reported level of account delinquency that was in effect prior to flip to a paid current status.
That code is called the Payment Rating.
Getting to the point, once paid, current status will be paid, but your credit report will still show a reported status reflecting its prior CO status.
It is a matter of what cubby-hole the CO resides in, not an absolute matter of it no longer being included in their reporting.
